The Fall Festival fundraiser, from 6 to 8 p.m. on Oct. 2, will honor Ris Lacoste, owner and chef of Ris Restaurant, with our first FBWE Village Torch Award for Community Service.

 

This is our major fundraising event of the year, so it is important that everyone support the effort. If you cannot attend, please make a donation or buy tickets to a salon at a later date.

Tickets for the event, wine corks for our wine auction and tickets for salons will go on sale Friday, Sept. 1 at the special Festival website. Click here to go to the Festival site. You can also reach the ticket sales website by going to www.fbwevillage.org. Click on the dark blue Fall Festival banner that will appear at the top of every page of the website.

 

You will be able to buy event tickets, wine corks, make donations, and buy salon tickets all on the festival website in one transaction.

 

A ticket for a single person is $100 ($85 tax deductible as a charitable contribution); and groups of six pay $500 ($410 is tax-deductible). If you have at least six people, you can buy additional individual tickets for $85 each. ($70 of each ticket is deductible.)

 

Note that all but $15 of the cost of any Festival event ticket is eligible as a charitable deduction for tax purposes.

 

Wine corks will cost $30 each, and are not tax-deductible because everyone who buys a cork will get a bottle of wine. Everyone who buys six corks or more will get a Trader Joe's carrier bag to take their wine home.

 

When you get to the event, you will receive the number of corks you purchased. Each cork will be numbered. That number will match the number on one bottle of wine in our Wall of Wine (though no peeking). The numbered bottle that corresponds with your numbered cork may be a fine premium vintage that retails for more than $300...or a nice bottle of table wine.

 

Salon tickets will cost $85 each. Best to sign up for the salons quickly as many have a limited number of attendees. Most salons will be held in the hosts’ homes.

 

And, of course, we welcome additional tax-deductible donations, which can also be made using your credit card on the Festival website.

 

When buying tickets for the festival or salons, buying corks for the wine auction, or making a donation, you will be asked to provide contact information for yourself and your guests so that we can send you tickets and information for tax purposes via email.

 

Both wine corks and salon tickets will also be on sale at the festival, but you will save yourself time ... and make sure you get the salon tickets you really want ... by purchasing online prior to the event.

 

All donations will be acknowledged for tax purposes after the event. All donors who contribute prior to September 15 will be recognized in the event program. All donors will be recognized on the fbwevillage.org  website after the event.

 

You'll pick up the wine associated with the number on the cork purchased as you leave the Festival.
