The Village is fortunate to be able to offer Gentle Yoga classes in the St. Paul's Atrium with instructor Daniel Hickman, a yoga instructor and mind-body educator with over 30 years of experience.
Daniel is especially good with seniors and those who need adaptive yoga. He has worked for over 10 years at the Walter Reed Military Medical
Center, teaching yoga, meditation and stress relief to the war-wounded.
Series #3 begins Wednesday, Dec. 6 and runs for 5 weeks, through Wednesday, Jan. 3 from 10 to 11 a.m. in the St. Paul's atrium.
No previous yoga experience is necessary for this class. Men and women welcome. You will leave class relaxed, yet energized.
Daniel's background includes exploration in spiritual culture, the lead of the Silk Road Yoga Sangha and is creator of the Multidisciplinary Yoga Teacher Training. He believes there is no ‘right way’ to do yoga, that there are numerous ways, and the best way is for you to find your own way.
Cost is based on number of participants for the 5-week series, payable at the first class by cash or check made out to the group coordinator. Refunds are not given for missed classes.
Participants are responsible for their own supplies: The floor of the atrium is hard, so bring 2 yoga mats if you feel you need extra cushioning. (Optional supplies: blanket, yoga blocks.) Items can be found at sports stores, at discount stores like TJMaxx, or can be ordered online from Amazon.
