After one year of operation The Foggy Bottom West End Village (FBWEV) is pleased to announce that 93% of its current members renewed their membership.
FBWEV is a Washington, DC volunteer/membership organization that provides services and social activities to help residents live independently for the long term. The membership renewals, as well as the addition of several new members, are a vote of confidence for FBWEV’s Board.
Since its launch one year ago on October 1, 2013, the Village has grown to 126 members and a force of 75 volunteers, who have provided more than 450 hours of volunteer services to members. Currently, 15% of its members benefit from subsidized memberships and all members benefit from the broad scope of Village services which includes social and cultural events and programs, educational forums, health and wellness sessions, and volunteer services.
As it enters the second year of operations, the FBWEV Board remains committed to its mission and is gratified that so many members feel the same and have shown their support by renewing their membership.
