On October 14th FBWEV members learned from Dr. Kerry Susser, of Sports + Spinal Physical Therapy how to strengthen their core muscles to help improve functional movement, increase stability, and enhance posture. In the first of a series of classes sponsored by the Balance and Fall Prevention Affinity Group, members learned what muscles comprise the core, how to correctly activate the core muscles, exercises that will help build core strength, and how to engage core muscles during daily activities.
