Hudson River Art

On August 8, long-time Foggy Bottom resident Maryann Friedman graciously invited about 15 Villagers to view her collection of almost 40 Hudson River School paintings lovingly collected over nearly 30 years. Maryann and Al Friedman were drawn by the serenity of the landscapes and to this day Maryann finds new delights in the paintings. Some Villagers identified their favorites, others enjoyed close up views of museum quality works, and a few even entered a state of relaxation or meditation. All in all, it was an entrancing afternoon spent appreciating this remarkable collection of 19th century landscapes. Many thanks to Maryann for sharing her passion with FBWEV.
