FBWEV Throws an Open House
Despite the rainstorms, FBWEV had a very good turnout of Village members, volunteers, and neighbors from the community for its Open House on Saturday, May 10th. In addition to seeing the newly decorated office on the lower level of St. Paul’s Parish in Washington, D.C., villagers and visitors also saw some of the rooms that the Village will be using for various programs and events: the Guild Room, the Common Room, and the Dining Hall on the second floor.
The Open House inspired some visitors to become members that very day. Additionally a few local residents became volunteers.
At the Open House, there was a drawing for the four tickets to the Nationals Memorial Day game against the Miami Marlins.
All festivities were planned by the FBWEV Program Committee and St Paul parishioners helped guide visitor through the Village’s new home.
