On a mild Wednesday afternoon, April 15th, several FBWEV members met to walk the cherry blossoms and celebrate the arrival of spring in Washington, DC.
The Village weekly walking group, The Walkie Talkies, met at the Jefferson Memorial, walked around Tidal Basin and retired to a happy hour at the Caucus Room on M. St.
This affinity group has been a staple of activity for FBWEV. The Walkie Talkies walk at a set time each week for an hour and half and cover approximately 3.5 miles. The group encourages all members, no matter their ability, who have an interest in a walking social group to join them. No registration is required, just show up. See the attached link for more information.
The Walkie Talkies have been walking for over a year and during almost every walk a member delights in how lucky we are to be able to enjoy our beautiful city by foot.
